Vaihteleva ja rajusti tuulinen sää tuo talvea enemmän tykö - A variable and severely windy weather will bring winter more foward

Viikon tulevasta säästä uusia tietoja: edelleen näyttää siltä, että sää lauhtuu torstaina hyvin voimakkaan lounais - länsituulen myötä takaisin lämpöasteille etenkin rannikoilla. Leuto sää ei ole kuitenkaan tällä kertaa yhtä pysyvää kuin aikaisemmin, mutta ei talvikaan onnistu tulemaan vielä pysyvästi. Leudot länsituulet (mahdollisia Föhn-tilanteita; useita lämpöasteita) näyttävät vuorottelevan tästä eteen päin ensi viikolle asti kylmempien luoteis - pohjoistuulten kanssa ja lauantain voimakkaan matalapaineen jälkeen olisi taas lyhyt pakkasjakso leudon vaiheen jälkeen.

Torstaina tuulee siis taas voimakkaasti ja lauantain tienoilla on myös myrskyn mahdollisuus. Silloin pahin myrsky menisi taas vähän Suomen eteläpuolitse ohi... Nämä voimakkaat matalapaineet ovat kuitenkin tässä vaiheessa osasyy sään muuttumiselle talvisemmaksi vähän selkeämmin, vaikkakin hyvin ailahtelevasti.

Lumitilanteen kehitys on vielä epäselvä hyvin vaihtelevan sääkehityksen takia, mutta osa sateista tulee myös etelärannikolla lumena. Jos lunta tulee jossakin vaiheessa kerralla paljon, niin kylmien jaksojen välissä olevat leudot säät eivät ehdi sulattaa lumipeitteitä kokonaan siitä eteen päin... Voi siis käydä niin, että sulan maan taimisto- / istutustöitä ei voi tehdä toistaiseksi. Ehkä jopa ennen "oikeaa kevättä". Mielenkiintoista nähdä, toistuisiko nytkin viime helmikuun tilanne (muutoin hyvin lämmin sää keskeytyi kylmään 1,5 kuukauden mittaiseen talveen)...



New information about this week's coming weather: It appears further to be the case, that the weather will get milder to above zero C readings especially by the coastal regions at thursday along with very strong southwesterly - westerly winds. However, the mild weather isn't equally permanent this time as it has been previously, but winter isn't succeeding yet to come permanently either. Mild westerly winds (possible Föhn situations; several degrees above zero C temperatures) appear to alternate with colder northwesterly - northerly winds from here into the next week and after saturday's strong low pressure there would be again a cold period after the mild phase.

So, during thursday winds will blow strongly again and around saturday there will also be a risk for a storm. Then the worst storm would pass Finland a bit again by the southern side... However, these strong low pressures are at this phase a partial reason for the fact, that the weather will turn a bit more clearly wintry, allthough in a very varying way.

A development of snow conditions is yet unclear due to the very variable development of the weather, but a part of the precipitation will come as snow also by the southern coast. If there will come a lot of snow at once during some phase, then the mild weather periods between cold periods won't have time to melt all snow covers away from there onwards. So, there might happen so, that one isn't able to do nursery / planting tasks of unfrozen soil for now. Perhaps even before the "real spring". It will be interesting to see, if last February's situation (otherwise warm weather was interrupted by 1,5 months long cold winter) would be happening this time as well...
