Viime päivinä ympäri maailmaa säässä on tapahtunut paljon merkittäviä asioita, jotka kuvastavat hyvin ilmastonmuutoksen etenemistä. Käykää katsomassa tästä Paulin blogista, kuinka tilanteet ovat edenneet ja kuinka taas hyvin leuto sää uhkaa Etelä-Suomen talvea. Esim. tämän kaltaisia säätilanteita ilmastonmuutos tulee varmasti lisäämään yhä enemmän.
Päivitys 11.1.2008 klo. 16:15; Tällä hetkellä leuto sää (lämpötilat +3 ja +5 asteen välillä) on jo iskenyt täydellä voimalla esim. Hämeenlinnaan, jossa taas olen. Lumet ovat sulaneet jo suurimmaksi osaksi pois ja vesisade on nopeuttanut sulamista. Parin seuraavan päivän aikana on tulossa runsaitakin vesisateita. Se yhdistettynä lumien loppuun sulamiseen aiheuttaa jo toisen kerran tänä "talvena" tulvavaaran Etelä-Suomessa (esim. Vantaan- ja Keravanjoet). Etelä-Suomen itäosissa lumen sulaminen on länttä hitaampaa ja sateet tulevat osittain lumena. Sen takia tulvariski ei koske sitä aluetta niin paljon. Tämä itä - länsi ero on tyypillistä talvella ja se näkyy myös leudoissa tilanteissa; mantereinen Venäjän ilmaston vaikutus.
During last days over the world there have been happening a lot of significant matters in the weather, which are illustrating well the proceeding of the climate change. Go to check out from this Pauli's blog, how the situations have been unfolding and how again a very mild weather will threaten the winter of southern Finland (unfortunately the blog is only in finnish, but it contains interesting pictures and the latest post in question for example a lot of radar pictures of the recent very unusual tornado outbreak in the USA). For example these kinds of weather situations the climate change will be increasing furthermore for sure.
Update at the 11th of January 2008 at 4:15 PM; At this moment the mild weather (temperatures between +3 C and +5 C) has allready hit with the full force for example into Hämeenlinna, where I am again. Snow has melted already away for a most part and rain has speeded up the melting. During next couple of days there will be coming even profuse amounts of rain. That combined with the snow melting to the end will cause already for the second time this "winter" a risk for floods in southern Finland (for example Vantaa and Kerava rivers). In the eastern parts of southern Finland the melting of snow is slower than in the west and the precipitation will come partly as snow. Due to that, the risk for floods doesn't concern that area so much. This east - west difference is typical in winter and it is seen also during mild situations; the influence of the continental climate of Russia.

Niinpä niin, ja vetttä sataa taas :(
Sataa sataa ropisee, mutta itse aion kyllä asennoitua siihenkin positiivisesti. Tänäänkin sain otettua tämän sään ansiosta paljon ko. tunnelmaa korostavia hienoja valokuvia.
Joo, sumu on vlillä niin tiuhaa ettei eteensä näe. Kyllä siitä pitäisi jotain irrota!
