Taimimäärän supistamisella uutta viljelyintoa - New cultivation passion with the decreasing of plant amount

Tämä viikko on ollut hieman hankala arboretumprojektin kevättöiden käynnistämisessä. Aluksi harmittelin sitä, kun mullan ja lannoitteen saanti vielä kiinni olevista puutarhamyymälöistä hankaloitti asioita. Sitten alkuviikolla sadesää hillitsi haluja töihin. Eilen kävin viimein tarkistamassa taimikasvatuspaikallani tilanteen ja toteutin "ylimääräisten" taimien tuhoamisen tärkeämpien lajien kustannuksella. Näin sain vapautettua yli 50 taimipurkkia uusiokäyttöön ja projektin eteneminen helpottui. Tuhotut lajit olivat; metsävaahtera (Acer platanoides), tervaleppä (Alnus glutinosa), vuorijalava (Ulmus glabra), suomenpihlaja (Sorbus hybrida) sekä yksittäisiä lehmuksia (Tilia sp.) ja mongolianvaahteroita (Acer tataricum ssp. ginnala). Tänään laitoin myös siemeniä liotukseen; tiedot löytyvät ko. kuvasarjoista (A B) - ja viimein sain hankittua multaa ja lannoitetta.

This week has been a bit difficult regarding the start of arboretum project's spring tasks. At first I was fretting the fact, that getting compost and fertilizer from yet closed garden shops made things difficult. Then during the early week rainy weather restrained desires for work. Yesterday I finally went to check out the situation at my nursery place and I did the destroying of the "leftover" plants at the expense of more important species. This way I was able to free more than 50 plant pots into a new use and the proceeding of the project became easier. The destroyed species were; Norway Maple (Acer platanoides), Black Alder (Alnus glutinosa), Wych Elm (Ulmus glabra), Oak-leaf Mountain Ash (Sorbus hybrida) and single Lindens (Tilia sp.) and Amur Maples (Acer tataricum ssp. ginnala). Today I placed seeds into soaking as well; the information is found in the photo sets in question (A B) - and at last I was able to get compost and fertilizer.
