Glass-Steagall -lain uudelleen pystyttämisen sponsoroijat ja tukijat Yhdysvalloissa: Lokakuun 2011 tilanne

LaRouche -liike (LaRouche PAC) on jälleen koonnut yhteen Glass-Steagall -lain uudelleen voimaansaattamista kannattavat tahot. Viimeksi tämä tapahtui elokuussa, jolloin kirjasin silloiset kannattajat ylös blogiini lainauksena (Glass-Steagall -lain uudelleen pystyttämisen sponsoroijat ja tukijat Yhdysvalloissa: Elokuun 2011 tilanne). Kannattajia on tullut sen jälkeen paljon lisää ja tällä kertaa mukana on Yhdysvalloissa olevien kannattajien lisäksi runsaasti myös muissa maissa tapahtunutta kannattamista (Tässä erikseen juttu Tanskan Occupy Wall Street -liikkeen uutisoinnin yhteydessä tapahtuneesta promotoinnista; Glass-Steagall Higlighted From Occupy Denmark Demonstration).

Tästä aineistosta huomaamme, kuinka Ruotsi on Suomea edellä tässäkin asiassa. Eipä taida täällä olla muita ko. lain kannattajia julkisesti kuin minä... Joka tapauksessa lainaan kokonaisuudessaan alle tämän uusimman kannatuskoosteen, jonka on tehnyt Michelle Fuchs. Nyt muuten on huomattavissa se, kuinka demokraattien lisäksi on alkanut tulemaan lain kannatusta myös republikaanien puolelta, vaikkakin vasta vähän.

January 2011 --The Louisiana State Board of the National Association of Realtors passed a resolution calling for the reinstatement of Glass-Steagall, and demanded that the National Association of Realtors do the same.
March 2011 --
The National Farmers Union, at its March 13-15 National Convention in San Antonio, reaffirmed its spring 2010 call for the immediate reinstatement of Glass-Steagall.
May 2011 -- The
International Association of Machinists, one of the largest unions in America, put the reinstatement of Glass-Steagall, specifically H.R. 1489, as a priority for their legislative agenda.
May 9, 2011 -- The Columbia Pacific Building Trades Council unanimously endorsed LPAC's resolution for Glass-Steagall.
May 11, 2011 -- The Northwest Oregon Labor Council unanimously endorsed LPAC's resolution for Glass-Steagall.
May 12, 2011 -- The
Democratic Party of Multnomah County, Oregon--the country in which the state's largest city, Portland, is located--passed a resolution calling for the immediate reinstatement of Glass-Steagall.
June 14, 2011: The
New Jersey state AFL-CIO has endorsed. It passed a unanimous voice vote before the state AFL-CIO convention. The resolution states that the national AFL-CIO supports this legislation.

Germany: Helga Zepp-LaRouche, chairwoman of the BueSo party. Mrs. LaRouche issued a call for a Global Glass-Steagall System on Aug. 12, 2011, which has been signed by a number of political leaders, professionals, economists, and entrepreneurs from Germany and Austria, among other nations. Great Britain: {Daily Telegraph} economic columnist Liam Halligan has repeatedly called for reinstatement of Glass-Steagall.
Italy: Senator Oskar Peterlini (Sudtirol Volks Partei-SVP) submitted a resolution into the Italian Senate calling for the restoration of a Glass-Steagall system on June 17, 2010. It was cosponsored by 14 other Senators, from both majority and minority parties.
Italy: Deputy Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Italian Chamber of Deputies Sergio D'Antoni endorsed Glass-Steagall in aninterview with {EIR} on July 30, 2011.
Mexico: Sen. Alfonso Elias Serrano, PRI, and Sen. Arturo Herviz Reyes, PRD, have signed Zepp-LaRouche's call for a global Glass-Steagall.
Sweden: Swedish parliamentarians Valter Mutt and Annika Lillemets, of the Environmental party, submitted a motion in the parliament for Glass-Steagall on Oct. 4.
Sweden: Parliamentarians Ulla Andersson and Jonas Sjostedt published an oped for Glass-Steagall in the newspaper {Goteborgsposten} on August 10.
Switzerland: Leaders of the Swiss People's Party and the Social Democrats have called for, and introduced legislation, for splitting commercial from investment banks, with specific reference to the Glass-Steagall precedent. So far, the legislation has been defeated.
